Hello! I’m Alexza, a student graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling and creativity. Currently pursuing my studies in graphic design, I love experimenting with different styles and techniques to create eye catching designs that resonate. This portfolio showcases my journey so far, featuring projects that reflect my growth and enthusiasm for the craft. I’m excited to share my work with you!
Adobe Dreamweaver
During my first year as a graphic designer, I embarked on the journey of learning Adobe Dreamweaver and coding to expand my skill set and enhance my design projects. Gradually, I became familiar with Dreamweaver's intuitive interface, which allowed me to visualize my designs while also diving into the code behind them. I practiced creating responsive layouts and experimenting with HTML and CSS. Click on the links below to view some of my websites!
In my computer illustration class, I utilized Adobe Illustrator to create intricate vector graphics, honing my skills in using shape tools, layers, and the pen tool to develop detailed illustrations. For my typography class, I leveraged Illustrator's extensive typographic features to explore font selection, manipulation, and layout design, allowing me to experiment with letterforms and generate visually compelling typographic compositions. Here's some pictures of my work below!
"Solstice" a probiotic line of sodas
"Mercyhurst Polaroid Collection" a tee-shirt line made for Mercyhurst Admissions
B&W portrait of Tate McRae using original patterns
Poetry Self Portrait using the quote "Every design begins with a simple idea, but its beauty lies in the detail we create"
Student Directed Ten Minute Play Festival created for the Mercyhurst Theatre Program
Adobe After Effects
In Adobe After Effects I created a dynamic typographic video by combining animated text elements with creative visual effects. Utilizing keyframes, I animated the movement and transformation of each text layer, applying various effects such as fades, rotations, and distortions to convey the rhythm of the accompanying audio. I carefully selected fonts and colors to enhance the overall aesthetic, ensuring each word captured the viewer’s attention while effectively communicating the message. Click to watch the video below!
3-Dimensional Design
Stepping into my 3D design class has been an exhilarating journey, pushing me to expand beyond the familiar realms of 2D creation. Embracing the challenge of volumetric thinking, I’ve learned to manipulate space, transforming my artistic vision into tangible forms. The process has not only sharpened my technical skills but has also ignited my creativity as I explore new dimensions, depth, and perspective. View my work below!
